An Aurora is the breaking down of gravity into smaller compartments that evolution decided that we should see in colour. The sun has larger quantum holes than the Earth, and those holes propagate gravity, and gravity propagates light. When the sun allows its larger quantum holes to escape they travel towards the Earth in a large formation, and are then filtered by the smaller quantum holes of the Earth into colours.
