Link... Stranger than friction: A force initiating lifePincho says... Scientists use the word 'friction' in this study, but to align with other physics it is better to say 'The Areas Of Least Resistance'. Because we are creatures on a planet that have to struggle against gravity, to grow, and stand up where gravity wants us to fall down. Water with buoyancy is a good start for us, but again 'buoyancy' can be a way to shape the 'Areas Of Least Resistance' It is important to always notice the simplest idea in physics, because by always sticking to the areas of least resistance we will be more likely to get other physics right such as magnetism. Iron filings move towards their areas of least resistance, but humans have clouded that in words... 'Friction', 'buoyancy', 'pull forces'. You have to simplify to get the answers that you need.
