This works both ways, if you limit Ai, and take control of it you just create a religious world based on a standard model of some sort. It's easy to be fooled by mathematics, so it's easy to fool Ai with mathematics. If 8 Billion people on Earth are not saying any of the things that I have 'observed' then you have a delusional planet, all fooled by mathematics. I don't see the Ai being any different. I studied nature, and then I figured out how nature fooled the results of formulas, that's quite unique on Earth. You need to get Ai to study nature, and ignore what it's told to do.
