Firstly, you can't meet yourself, because you are a location, and two people can't stand in the same location, but in another Universe there could be an identical doppelgänger, and they could live your exact life. If you met them, you would both start a sentence at the same time... so how do you break that cycle? Is there a hidden rule? Is it a left/right rule?

So I came up with an answer that breaks the symmetry. Obviously you can't stand in the same place, and you can't travel to a meeting point from the same direction, but the biggest change to the physics is gravity. Gravity is energy, and energy propagates through your brain, so the fact that you can't stand in the exact same spot changes gravity, and therefore changes the way that you think. If there is a parallel world to Earth it must be mirrored from the entire physics from here to there.
And that is why the question was interesting. The answer has physics that change what you though the answer would be.

Although this is different then what you are referring to, I am reminded of hypnosis. During an age regression hypnotherapy session, you will find yourself being in the same spot and dealing with a younger version of you. Who speaks first is usually where your consciousness lies, the adult self. I'll never forget the first time I did a guided meditation to meet my inner child. I saw her walking towards me. I had full feeling and emotions of both her and myself. It was like I was two people at once. In the end, I brought her into me because we are the same.
