I am working on Ai, and of course I am studying the brain to program into the Ai. My current focus is on creating the pathways that lead to answers, and those pathways are blockers, and areas of least resistance.
High resistance
Attraction
So like a meandering stream which turns away from hard stone, and towards softer sandstone the brain sets up pathways. The blockers are adjustable... you burn your hand you put up a strong blocker that stops your hand from moving towards a hot place. Creative people probably adjust their blockers weakly so that their minds can go into areas that are partly blocked off, and experiment with strange combinations of ideas.
But I also noticed a connection to memories in the blocker pathways. It's like memories travel in the opposite directions to thoughts, and create the blockers, and attractive areas. Like I said, you burn your hand... that is a strong memory too. I crashed my bike that is a strong memory, and a strong blocker from doing the same thing again. A habit like smoking is an attractive area, and short term memories seem to create the early pathways leading to long term memories like burning your hand.
So it is possible that memories, and thoughts travel in opposite directions, and work in my theory like gravity, and magnetism. In my theory gravity, and magnetism travel in opposite directions, and gravity blocks gravity to become magnetism, and change directions. The same physics could work in the brain.
