Do we need to teach children joined-up handwriting?
Yes it is important to teach hand writing, because it is not just teaching handwriting. You are teaching dexterity, creativity, how to handle a paint brush, how to concentrate on small detailed work. It is a multiple action of delicate, precision work all built with simple guide rules... write a sentence.
The brain works with flow forces which are intertwined, you are not just teaching handwriting, you are creating a more useful brain which is what school should be about.
