A link to an early creature that could have evolved eventually into a human... Early Human AncestorI have been looking at survival of the fittest, and concentrating on eyelashes. I picked eyelashes because if you had something in your eyes, and couldn't see you might be attacked, and killed. You sort of make a story up, and find out why the eyelashes survived to breed. When I looked at other animals with eyelashes, they were harder to find than I thought. I couldn't see any on monkeys, or rats, or mice, or dogs, or cats. I could see them on cows, and horses. And some humans seem to be without them too, like Mongolians. Now if you have fur like a dog, or cat you can say that water doesn't go in your eyes so easily. It maybe isn't so important to have eyelashes afterall. In my opinion then, the eyelashes did not survive to be the fittest, they are maybe a trait of physics. Whatever the reason for eyelashes, I find them an interesting topic for further study.
