Link... How philosophy can change the understanding of painPincho says... The last 8 weeks gone when I had a long lasting toothache due to the dentist going on holiday, I studied the pain. The first thing I noticed was that my eyes focusing on pictures in detail, and concentrating on the very small details in the picture... that took away the pain. So you are sort of isolating the brain to move into a small area. Another thing I felt was that the pain rotated something like tipping a bucket upside down. The pain would be really bad until you rotated something upside down, and then it would go away. But just before the bucket is spilled you get intense pain, and tipping the bucket over is hard, because the pain before that happens shakes your entire body. You may not be able to tip the bucket for a few days, because you will resort to pain killers before you get that far, but then the painkillers will stop working so you will be forced to go through it.
