Link... Discovering cancers of epigenetic origin without DNA mutationPincho says... We evolved from sea worms which had regenerative abilities, but these old regenerative abilities had to evolve so that worms stayed as worms. Otherwise worms mutated too often, and grew legs, fins, and became all of the animals around us which evolved to stay as the animals around us. So in a way evolution is a bit backwards, it adapts not to evolve too much. A worm constantly lives in its surroundings, feeding on the inside on the material that is on its outside, it lives inside its food. As humans we maintained some of the worm inheritance, and still occupy some of our surroundings, and that still mutates us. For example to smell it to take in your surroundings, and then to decide if you want to eat what is around you. Worm feelers became noses, and eyes... Evolution Does The Hokey CokeyPincho Paxton
