Granular convection therefore took disorder, and made it into order, and scale was all over the place. Gaps were all over the place too, and the area of least resistance was all over the place. The milky way has a nice orderly atomic structure, and that structure evolved from something bigger, and messier. You don't stick all of the atoms ready made in a pot.
