Link... Perfectionism linked to burnout at workPincho says... I was diagnosed with perfectionism when I was about 8 years old, and it was because I started drawing a horse, and ripped the picture up about 14 times just drawing the first line. But to be perfect after being diagnosed with perfectionism cancels out perfectionism, it is a paradox. You cannot be both perfect, and have perfectionism, so what happened to me was that I started deliberately not trying to be perfect anymore, so that I could be closer to perfect. It sounds strange but in my head it made sense, and I stuck with it. However I do try to be perfect in a logical way, and if that logic means standing back, then I will stand back, and observe myself. I self diagnose all of the time, nobody can say that I have any delusion of myself. Pincho Paxton
