It can be explained in other ways as well. 3D physics are spherical, so a peak is a membrane, and a trough is a hole, and destructive interference is really a membrane in a hole, just like filling a grave with soil to get flat ground. Propagation is towards holes, so empty holes can transport energy, that's not the same as quantum coherence which presumes waves to be fundamental physics, waves are made from holes, and fillers, so my version is the correct version. Water for example is made from atoms, and bends have to be created between joints, and joints are missing from waves, so that is a bit of a mistake in the standard model. Pincho Paxton
