In my theory atoms have an X/Z horizontal surface that bonds, and a 'Y' axis that picks up information from outside (amongst other things). The Y axis picks up, and reflects light, and light has spin. The spin causes the ripples, and at the same time creates a sweep of an area for light to create cones so that you can see what you are looking at. The 'Y' axis must exactly point at your iris to see something, so luckily it ripples, and that is how a spin gets converted into a wave, but light is originally a string to a spin to a ripple. When you see the eyes of Cylon swinging left, and right that is similar to how atoms send light back to you. Pincho Paxton
