Virtual Reality isn't just about replacing a mouse to look around, it's about replacing the world with another world. Although head turning can match what you see in the Virtual Reality world there are advances that can be made to replace walking, and running, and picking up items. With a rotating wheel like a Hamster wheel but 3D you can run around a new world. So far virtual reality is simple, but the Star Trek holodeck is within reaching distance.
