Elusive magnetic 'monopole' seen in quantum system

Physicists create synthetic magnetic monopoles in the lab

A point-like magnetic pole. It is confusing for me to cross reference science sometimes. Magnetism is created by trapping gravity until it folds inside-out. It is going to happen when gravity is trapped at a point. But science is avoiding learning about gravity, and just going wow.. wow.. wow every so often. Why not just learn what gravity is? Then these physics are not so wow!
