Not many people know Java, so I doubt that this is a male/female issue, but it has been turned into one. I think that I would say "You should learn java..." to male, and female equally.
You should learn Dark Basic!
Dark Basic is my preferred language, and it isn't a common language to use. It wad designed for making computer games, but I find that it is good for making computer simulations of the Universe too.
But anyway, back to the subject...
... why was there a comparison between men, and women brought into the conversation?
I would patronise women for bringing that issue up in the first place.
