Link... Is OCD an addiction like drugs or gambling?Pincho says... In my theory OCD is a time loop. A repeating cycle of energy with little change, giving a person less choices in their routine. Gambling, and drug addiction are habits where a cycle of information has strong overlaps of repeating energy. The difference is that gambling, and drug addiction are more like Braille being read by the addict who finds it hard to ignore, but can overwrite it with new information, and cancel it out to branch it off in a new direction. A person with OCD has difficulty overwriting the information, because the branches are closed off.

OK I had to double check the English language. There are extreme addictions not catered for in the English language. People are called alcohol addicts, and Gambling addicts right the way up to the top scale. This is incorrect terminology. The top scale addicts should be called OCD addicted to alcohol, or OCD addicted to gambling. Basically they are people with few branches before they started drinking or gambling. They are OCD tipped, so it is the reverse of the link. The English language needs updating.
