In my theory OCD is a time loop. A repeating cycle of energy with little change, giving a person less choices in their routine. Gambling, and drug addiction are habits where a cycle of information has strong overlaps of repeating energy. The difference is that gambling, and drug addiction are more like Braille being read by the addict who finds it hard to ignore, but can overwrite it with new information, and cancel it out to branch it off in a new direction. A person with OCD has difficulty overwriting the information, because the branches are closed off.
