I have a sleeping disorder, and I've had it since I was about 15. Mostly from 15 to 54 my sleeping disorder had no effect on me, but after 54 it is starting to become a problem. Now I can start to feel sleepy during the day so I am trying to fix that by sleeping till noon. That works, and then hot water wakes me up for the rest of the day.
There is another change! Dreaming used to mean that I had a good night's sleep, but now it seems to take energy from me.
So the question is... do dreams use up useful energy when you get older?
Not sure, but it's worth a study.
