The quote has important information in it, it tells you what Dark matter is. When mass is moving towards an invisible body it is moving towards an area of least resistance, and space has resistance. Space has resistance made from the flow of gravity, and gravity moves towards holes in gravity... negative mass. The LMC has moved, but left behind a slug trail of negative mass holes in gravity... Dark Matter.
What you are seeing also is a mistake in the Gravity formula, where Mass should be replaced by negative mass. The Negative mass is where gravity will move mass, mass does not move towards mass. there is a synchronisation where negative mass switches to mass, but the gravity formula does not include that synchronisation.

To their surprise they also found that the Milky Way was not moving towards the LMC's current location, as previously thought, but towards a point in its past trajectory.
