Emotional thinking has affected the Nicola Bulley case as Peter Faulding who searched for her body in the water was not told about some sensitive information about Nicola Bulley being a 'High Risk' case. Nicola Bulley has/had some vulnerabilities that needed to be passed on to Peter for him to do a proper search of the area. But instead the emotional holding back of information that may 'upset' the family was the tactic used. Police investigators need to know when they are using emotion as a 'blocking factor' to solving a case.
This Nicola Bulley case is a perfect example of emotion blocking the solving of a case.
